This moving Battlefields tour marks the commemoration of the centenary year of the outbreak of the Great War. We gain an insight into the World War I battles which shaped the 20th century and the bravery of the soldiers who paid the ultimate price for our freedom today.

Full Day: Ypres
With our expert guide we visit Passchendaele and the Essex Farm Cemetery. Then we go on to the ‘In Flanders Field’ Museum.
Full Day: Somme area
With our expert guide we visit Vimy Ridge and the Canadian Memorial Park. We continue to the Arras Memorial and the Beaumont Hamel Memorial Park. Through the fields of the Somme to Peronne and the First World War Museum.
Evening: Last Post
An evening visit to the border town of Ypres, best known as the site of dramatic First World War battles and where many British soldiers fought and died. It is now home to the Menin Gate, placed there in honour of those who perished with no known graves and each evening the Last Post is sounded.
